Roll-pitch seeker is currently applied in particular missiles. There is a stubborn problem called zenith pass problem while roll-pitch seeker is used. Analysis of the zenith pass problem which always results in loss of target is presented in this paper. Based on the analysis result  tracking strategy is carried out to deal with zenith pass problem. To prove the validity of tracking strategy  a practical roll-pitch seeker was accomplished. Model identification and common PID controllers for the physical roll-pitch seeker are taken on  after that  both disadvantages derived from zenith pass problem in tracking process and meliorated phenomenons by the tracking strategy are shown. It is concluded that the tracking strategy designed for solving the zenith pass problem is efficient. 2011 Elsevier Masson SAS. All rights reserved.

The piezo-electric steering control system is used to compensate the vibration of satellite platform. The mathematical model of piezo-electric steering system is built. The adaptive controller based on improved LMS filter algorithm is designed according to this system characteristic. The adaptive delay filter is designed to solve slow convergence speed problem of traditional algorithm. Meanwhile  the adaptive delay filter can also compensate phase delay of control circuit. The adaptive deviation filter is introduced and it effectively compensates the vibration deviation which is low frequency and high amplitude. The experimental results show that the remained errors are rad  which meets space optical communication requirement and proves that this control scheme is valid and feasible. The objective of this paper is to deal with a trajectory tracking of a Quad-rotor unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). For the model uncertainty  the external disturbance and the coupling factor are considered  an active disturbance rejection control (ADRC) algorithm is introduced into the designing procedure. The aircraft dynamic model is proposed in this article  based on which the closed-loop control system is divided into four independent channels with the coupling factor compensated by the extended state observer (ESO). The nonlinear state error feedback (NLSEF) algorithm is designed in each channel to improve the closed-loop dynamics. In this article  the ADRC controller is expressed in the discrete form. And finally  the simulation results show that the proposed control algorithm achieves a favourable tracking performance. 2012 IEEE.

Operating principle of laser beam-riding guidance was set forth. Based on the principle of spatial frequency-encoding  experimental results demonstrated that the receiver can receive correctly the encoded signal and can decode the signal  an optimum laser encoding mode was designed  measurement for the missdistance is feasible and all the performance parameters satisfy the demand. (2012) Trans Tech Publications  which can transfer continuous laser into pulse laser that represents different position information. Then the mathematic model of deviation from target is built  Switzerland.  a modified encoding pattern was presented  which is composed of two light paths crossed 90. Azimuth information of target is given in orthogonal coordinate system and deviation from target is linearity. As well as  characteristic distribution of spatial laser field is analyzed. Corresponding decoding mode was presented  by testing in 2 kilometers outdoor

An artificial pancreas system (APS) mimics the function of a real pancreas through monitoring a diabetic's blood glucose and administering the right dose of insulin via an automatic control loop. It is hailed as a promising cure of diabetes  though this technology is still years away from commercial use due to a few technological bottlenecks. The simulation model of insulin-glucose metabolism of type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) is an essential part of APS. In order to simplify the parameter identification task so that the model can be implemented electronically with ease  this paper presents a simplified model based on Routh approximation model reduction method. The results show that the approximation error between the simplified model and the original model is so small that can be neglected. Based on the simplified model  a PID controller is designed to maintain normoglycemia (90mg/dl) in subjects with T1DM. The in silico simulation results show that the glucose concentration is controlled well  the risk of hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia is reduced a lot. This suggests that the simplified model describes the insulin-glucose metabolism process accurately  and the PID control algorithm is well-suitable to guide the further development of an APS. 2012 IEEE.
