As a virtual training  testing and evaluating environment  simulation platform becomes a significant component in Soccer Robot project. Nevertheless  the simulated environment in a simulation platform usually has a big gap with the realistic world. In order to solve this issue  we demonstrate a more realistic simulation system which is called Reality Sim with numerous real images. By this system  the computer vision code could be easily tested on simulation platform. For this purpose  previously  an image database with a large quantity of images recorded by camera pose is built. Furthermore  if the camera pose of an image is not included in the database  an interpolation algorithm is used to reconstruct a brand-new realistic image of that pose such that a realistic image could be provided on every robot camera pose. Our results show this system effectively simulates a more realistic environment for simulation platform. 2011 IEEE.

SPIHT and NLS (Not List SPIHT) are efficient compression algorithms  but the algorithms application is limited by the shortcomings of the poor error resistance and slow compression speed in the aviation and other areas requiring high-speed compression. In this paper  the error resilience and the compression speed are improved. The remote sensing images are decomposed by Le Gall5/3 wavelet  and wavelet coefficients are indexed  scanned and allocated by the means of family blocks. The bit-plane importance is predicted by bitwise OR  so the N bit-planes can be encoded at the same time. Compared with the SPIHT algorithm  this modified algorithm is easy implemented by hardware  and the compression speed is improved. The PSNR of reconstructed images encoded by high-speed SPIHT is slightly lower than SPIHT at rate 1bpp  but the speed is 4.5-6 times faster than SPIHT encoding process. The algorithm meets the high speed and reliability requirements of aerial applications. 2011 IEEE.

According to the focal depth and work environment of a space camera  a focusing mechanism is designed  which consists of precision screw ball transmission and linear bearing guidance and accuracy improving. The dynamic- strike- resistance  adaptability to temperature and vacuum are considered into the reliable design method. Furthermore  the linearity error  the structure stability and the mechanism work situation in high and low temperature are tested. The result is that the linearity error of the mechanism is less than 0.003 mm  and the sway error of vertical way and level way of the mirror is less than 20''. The linearity error of the mechanism and the sway error of the mirror remain unchanged after vibration test. The mechanism can work in the complex space environment. 2010 SPIE.
