We found the diffraction (002) peak at ~34.46 indicating that the ZnO thin films were C-oriented. ZnO films were highly transparent with a transmission ratio larger than 85% in the visible range. Using the coarse sampling and the fine interpolation a novel approach based on singular spectrum analysis (SSA) is presented to decompose the generated TPT into a slowly varying trend and a quickly varying quasi-periodic oscillation. The numerical experiments of the TPT decomposition of toroidal surfaces have been carried out. The results verify that the proposed approach is very effective for the TPT decomposition. Based on tapered FBG and thin-wall strain cylinder structure a novel temperature-independent high pressure sensor was fabricated and investigated. The tapered FBG performed as a chirped grating whose bandwidth and reflection power broadened and increased when the pressure applied on it. Moreover the bandwidth and the reflection power were temperature-independent. So the value of the strain can be obtained by detecting the reflection power. This method effectively solved the cross-sensitivity problem. The experiment results indicated that this sensor provided a measurement range of 040MPa with a sensitivity of 0.04w/MPa low cost and good application prospect. 2010 IEEE.

We investigated the quality of the films by SIEMENS D8 X-ray diffractometer. The surface morphology of the films were observed by Digital Nanoscope IIIa AFM with normal silicon nitride tip in the contact mode. The hall effect measurements were carried out with indium ohmic contact. The transmission spectrum of the films were measured. The transmission ratio is larger than 80% in the region above the wavelength of 385nm and sharply decreased under 10% below the wavelength of 375 nm. (2010) Trans Tech Publications.

In order to research the control method of the static stretching membrane mirror the surface configuration must be tested. However membrane mirror's shape is always changed by variable voltages on the electrodes and the optical properties of membrane materials using in our experiment are poor so it is difficult to test membrane mirror by interferometer and null compensator method. To solve this problem an automatic optical test procedure for membrane mirror is designed based on Hartmann screen method. The optical path includes point light source CCD camera splitter and diffuse transmittance screen. The spots' positions on the diffuse transmittance screen are pictured by CCD camera connected with computer and image segmentation and centroid solving is auto processed. The CCD camera's lens distortion is measured and fixing coefficients are given to eliminate the spots' positions recording error caused by lens distortion. To process the low sampling Hartmann test results Zernike polynomial fitting method is applied to smooth the wave front. So low frequency error of the membrane mirror can be measured then. Errors affecting the test accuracy are also analyzed in this paper. The method proposed in this paper provides a reference for surface shape detection in membrane mirror research. 2010 Copyright SPIE - The International Society for Optical Engineering.
