本文试图以地理信息系统方法揭示四川茂县大沟小流域的、以几十米为尺度的地形统计特征。作者使用一种扫描方法快速地形成了该流域的、高密度的数字化高程文件(DEM）及派生地形文件。在此基础上的几千个统计数据清楚地显示了该流域各类土地分布的分散性与不对称性等特征，从而揭示了该流域土地利用应注意地几个问题。如将各专业图件均纳入图形叠加功能和系统，则可全面反映出该流域自然真貌。

Land condition in micro-topopgraphic scale, whose size is adbout 10-30m, is important for planners and managers rather than in big scale. This paper presents the land micron-topographic characteristics of river Dagou, Maoxian county, Sichuan province based upon GIS. The DEM and its subfiles with high sample density were formed by a ralid way using a scanner. The thousands of statistic data discover that the land types in the basin are sattered either in their area size or in spatial distrbution and etc. In addition, some suggestions on land use of the basin are followed from the above discussion.
