英文摘要The design process of the buckling-restrained braces has been provided in this paper to study on RC frame which is stiffness-insufficient in high seismic region. One simplified design method is proposed in the article in order to satisfy the requirements of story drift ratio. Story drift ratio is computed by equivalent base shear method with a project example. Buckling-restrained braces can be designed to order according to different requests of the structure floors. EL-Centro waves have been used to simulate in time-history analysis method under frequent earthquake and rare earthquake using software ANSYS. As a result, the RC frame with buckling-restrained braces has good performance of energy dissipation, and story drift ratio and other parameters satisfied the code requirements. Meanwhile the process is simpler than the existing method.
