Highly Sensitive and Selective Detection of Norfloxacin in Aqueous Solution Using Carbon Based Nanomaterial

英文摘要Carbon quantum dots (CQDs) was synthesized in the present work using dried beet powder as the carbon source. The fluorescence of the as prepared CQDs was enhanced upon addition of norfloxacin (NORF), which was used to quantitatively detect the amount of NORF in aqueous solution. The synthesized CQDs have an average size of 6 nm with the functional group such as COO- as well as OH distributed on the surface. The fluorescence of the as-prepared CQDs showed excitation wavelength dependent, slight pH dependence luminescent behavior, and good stability at high ionic strength. Linear relationship between I/I-0 and the concentration of NORF was established in the concentration range of 0-200 mu M, and the lower limit of detection was 0.937 mu M. With its highly sensitivity and selectivity, the developed novel method could be suitable for the determination of NORF in pharmaceutical preparations and other relevant medium.
