英文摘要 | The vibration and stretching deformation of droplets (water-in-oil) can occurre in a high-voltage pulsed electric field. It is a good promotion to coalescence and demulsification of droplets in the emulsified oil. The dielectric physics model of droplets in the pulse electric field was established by using the electro-hydrodynamic (EHD) theory, and the distribution and force of the polarized electric field, inside and outside of a droplet, were been obtained. The calculation of droplet's vibration and expansion deformation in oil was carried out by analyzing velocity field and flow stress inside and outside of the droplet. By calculating the steady component and vibrating component of droplet deformation excited by the harmonic component of the pulsed electric field, the expression of droplet's deformation was obtained. Experiment results showed that the values of droplet's vibration and stretching deformation obtained by theoretical calculation were close to the experimental results. It was confirmed that using the electro-hydrodynamic (EHD) theory to predict droplet's stretching deformation in oil was reasonable and reliable in the pulsed electric field. This work is certainly significant to enrich and improve the research on dynamics of demulsification by pulsed electric fields. © 2017, Editorial Office of Acta Petrolei Sinica(Petroleum Processing Section).
