英文摘要Hydrogen energy is an ideal energy carrier. Hydrogen production from activated metal splitting water has the characteristics of solid-state containing energy, produce hydrogen immediately, supplied hydrogen on demand, and the lower requirements for water quality. In this paper, the common problems of activated aluminum alloy were reviewed from the thermodynamics and kinetics of Al/H20 reaction. The feasible methods of engineering applied were summarized from the internal factors and external factors affecting Al/H20 reaction. The key issue of activated aluminum is to adopt multi -element alloying and suitable fabrication processing. The potential of the engineering application of Al/H20 reaction is extreme environment. Moreover, it is pointed out that the predictive investigation, quantitative investigation of Al/H20 spontaneous reaction and the recycling of Al/H20 reaction products in industrialization are the further direction of development. Finally, the aim of industrial application of hydrogen produced by activated aluminum splitting water is low-cost, environment-friendly, safe and reliable.
