英文摘要 | The leaking was appeared at the fillet weld of the fixed tube-sheet heat exchanger during running. The composition of heat exchanger tube and sheet, microstructure, corrosion appearance and chemical composition of the corrosion products in the failure samples were studied by means of optical microscope, scanning electron microscope and chemical analysis methods. The results show that the composition of heat exchanger tube and sheet meet the requirement of national standard. The main phases of the heat exchanger and heat affecting zone are ferrite and perlite, and martensite and bainite appeared in fillet weld. The difference of microstructure between the different zones of the weld is obvious. The medium among the shell can enter into the gap between the tube and sheet located at the fillet weld and stress concentrate, which can result in the high sensitivity of stress corrosion for the weld. The crack can happen at the bottom of the weld and then develope along the direction to the center of the weld, which led to the leaking of the heat exchanger. ©, 2014, Editorial Office of Transactions of Materials and Heat Treatment.
