英文摘要 | Doping trace amount of rare-earth (RE) elements into metallic materials will significantly enhance their physical properties, mechanical properties, and so on. In this work, traditional Ti-15Cu-15Ni (wt.%) filler alloy doped with different amounts of RE element Dy was employed to braze the Ti-6Al-4 V (TC4) alloy with the aim to achieve a high-quality joint. The results showed that the joint obtained was constructed by TC4/zone 2/zone 1/zone 2/TC4. Dy doping modified the microstructure of the solidification-induced zone 1, whereas the phase transformation-induced zone 2 (Widmanstatten structures) was hardly affected. The optimized amount of Dy doping was determined, while the interaction between Dy and filler alloy was clarified. The brazing process parameters also had a great impact on the microstructure of the TC4 joint, because they affected the diffusion ability of Cu and Ni toward parent metals, as well as the adsorption effect of Dy toward Cu and Ni. Among the brazing process parameters under investigation, the maximum average shear strength obtained reached 894.8 MPa, which was the greatest value reported for the TC4 brazed joint. The diffusion ability of Cu and Ni atoms toward the parent metals exceeded the binding effect of Dy toward Cu and Ni, leading to a complete Widmanstatten structure in the joint. The work performed can provide valuable guidance for the design of high-performance titanium alloy brazed joint. |
