英文摘要 | A method called forging solidifying metal (FSM), which is applied for eliminating coarse dendrites and shrinkage porosity defects of ferrous alloys was proposed based on semi-solid forming technology (SSF). To verify its feasibility, the effects of liquid fraction (F-L) on the microstructure of the deformed H13 steel were investigated experimentally. The coarse dendrites structure still existed and cracks appeared when the 0.1/s 50% FSM method was carried out at similar to 20% F-L. What is significantly different from that is, the elimination of the coarse dendrites structure and shrinkage porosity defects became more significant, when this method was conducted at the end of solidification (F-L < 10%). The microstructure of H13 steel was significantly refined and also became dense in such condition. |
