英文摘要	PURPOSE:To contrive favorably the stabilization of a frequency by a method wherein the title light source consists of a point projected Fourier plane diffraction grating having a point projected groove form; which has the ratio of a wavelength to use to a lattice interval within a prescribed extent and moreover, has the ratio of the depth of a lattice groove to the lattice interval within a prescribed extent; and a semiconductor laser element. CONSTITUTION:Light emitted from a semiconductor laser 1 is turned into parallel rays by a lens 1 and the parallel rays are incident in a point projected Fourier plane diffraction grating 4. The incident rays are dispersed according to their wavelengths, a light only of a specified wavelength is coupled with the laser 1 and the laser 1 is oscillated in the wavelength. Here, the diffraction efficiency of the diffraction grating depends on the ratio lambda/d of a grating constant (d) to a wavelength (lambda). A frequency stabilizing light source consists of the diffraction grating having a point projected groove form; which has the ratio lambda/d within an extent of 0.7
