中文摘要raman spectroscopy is considered as one of the most powerful tools in studying physics, chemistry, material, biology and energy. compared with conventional raman spectroscopy, ultraviolet raman spectroscopy (uvrs) has the advantages of high sensitivity while avoiding fluorescence interference. this lecture presents the recent advances in uv and deep uv raman spectroscopic characterization of catalytic materials. one of the advances is the successful identification of highly isolated transition metal ions incorporated in the framework of microporous and mesoporous materials base on the uv resonance raman effect. moreover, we have developed an apparatus capable of insitu studying the formation mechanism of microporous materials under hydrothermal reactions by taking the advantage of uv raman spectroscopy. the synthesis mechanism of microporous materials (such as zeolite x and alpo-5) has been investigated, which can sensitively detect the precursors and intermediates evolved in the synthesis solution and gels, while avoiding fluorescence interference. another finding by uv raman spectroscopy is that the phase transformation in the surface region of most metal oxide nanoparticles (such as zro2 and tio2) is remarkably different from that in their bulk. this finding provides a strategy to design and develop high-performance catalysts. in addition, by utilizing the deep uv lasers with 177.3 nm, we successfully developed the deep uv raman spectrograph. primary results demonstrate that deep uv raman spectrograph will generate tremendous social and economic benefits in environment, physics, chemistry and material science
