Finding an h(1)(1830) State in J/psi -> eta h(1) -> eta K*(0) (K)over-bar*(0) BESII Data

英文摘要A clear enhancement is seen in the BES data for the reaction J/psi -> eta K*(0)(K) over bar*(0), close to the K*(K) over bar* channel threshold. If it is produced by an S-wave resonance around threshold, it would correspond to an h(1) state with quantum numbers I-G(J(PC)) = 0(-)(1(+-)). Using the local hidden gauge approach, a state around 1800 MeV is generated from the interaction of the K*(K) over bar*. The peak observed in J/psi -> eta K*(0)(K) over bar*(0) is naturally explained by this h(1) state, for which we determine a mass and width around 1830 MeV and 110 MeV, respectively. We corroborate this result with a second, model independent analysis.
