Zircon SHRIMP U-Pb dating, Lu-Hf isotopic characteristics and petrogenesis of the Palaeozoic granites in Mangya area, southern Altun, NW China

英文摘要The zircon SHRIMP U-Pb dating results of the Palaeozoic granites in the Mangya area, southern Altun show that the granite from Aketishan has an age of 264 +/- 1Ma, the granites from Chaishuigou have ages of 404 +/- 5Ma and 406 +/- 4Ma, containing diabase with an age of 454 +/- 4Ma, the granites from Changchungou have ages of 411 +/- 5Ma and 406 +/- 3Ma, the quartz diorite from northern Mangya Town has an age of 466 5Ma, and the granite from Akalongshan has an age of 469 +/- 6Ma. The zircon Lu-Hf isotope analysis indicates that most epsilon(Hf) (t) values of the granites are positive except a small number of inherited zircons being negative, reflecting that their source rocks mainly derived from the newly grown crust, but also mixed with a small amount of the component of the ancient continental crust. With the regional geology and the geochemical characteristics being taken into account, the Palaeozoic granitic magmatism in the Mangya area, southern Altun was divided into three sequences, corresponding to three rock assemblages, respectively. The first rock assemblage (465 similar to 469Ma) is quartz diorite + granodiorite + granite, which has the geochemical characteristics of island arc igneous rocks and whose formation is probably related to the subduction of the oceanic crust; the second rock assemblage (404 similar to 411Ma) is granodiorite + monzogranite + syenogranite, which has the geochemical characteristics of A-type granite and which may be related to the balancing adjustment of masses in the orogenic belt after plate collision, and the third rock assemblage (264Ma) is quartz diorite + monzonitic granite + syenogranite, which also has the characteristics of I-type granite and which may be associated with the activity of the Altun fault.
