英文摘要This paper proposes a novel light switchable microelectrode array (LSMA) for retinal prosthesis, which is performed with the photosensitive conductivity of hydrogenated amorphous silicon (??-Si:H) and has more advantages over the two major current retinal prosthetic categories. A simplified prototype is fabricated and related experimental results are obtained. Its current increases from 1??A in darkness to 2.5mA with light sensation, and responses in less than 16ms when lightened and darkened. The prototype responds to light with different wavelengths in the visible range. It is indicated that such device has a good potential for retinal prosthesis to restore a certain degree of visual function. ?2010 IEEE.; EI; 0
