英文摘要Large-scale terrain visualization is a key problem in Digital Earth. In this paper a View-Dependent Dynamic Multiresolution Terrain Model (VDDMTM) is presented, with the multiresolution representation mechanism, the dynamic terrain simplification and the evaluation function discussed. A bucket sorting method is adopted to repair crevices intrinsically caused by quadtree structure used in VDDMTM.
