英文摘要	China is a country suffering heavily from flood and waterlogging. So it is urgent and significant to make real-time evaluation of every flood for the flood mitigation and controlling. For this purpose, we have designed and built a system devoted to flood loss evaluation based on Remote Sensing and GIS, which can calculate the water-depth distribution map of inundated area. The concept of flood loss on the support of the lcoal social economic database accoring to the map, and diversified loss distribution maps are created. Combining the crop and population distribution data from the local economic databaase, analysis and statistics for any kind of apllications can be carried out such as crop loss distributing map and stricken population distributing map according to the relatice flood loss of report.
