英文摘要Chemical extraction combined with transmission electron microscopy (TEM) was used to study the dispersion of platinum in a series of Pt/SiO2 and Pt/Al2O3 catalysts. With standard EuroPt-1 catalyst the results showed that the 'percentage extracted' of platinum measured after oxidation at ca. 400??C was identical with the 'percentage exposed' of platinum evaluated by TEM. Further, interaction between the PtOx formed and the support used could also be explored by this method.
