英文摘要The effect of rubber particle dispersion on the toughness-modulus relationship of polyvinylchloride (PVC)/nitrile rubber (NBR) blends is studied. It is demonstrated that the pseudonetwork morphology is much more effective in the rubber toughening of PVC than that of well-dispersed rubber particles. However, the rubber particle dispersion does not affect the tensile modulus-rubber volume fraction relationship of the blends. The effect of rubber particle dispersion on the toughness-modulus relationship of PVC/NBR blends are compared. It is concluded that the pseudonetwork morphology is very efficient in generating PVC/rubber blends simulataneously with high toughness and high stiffness.
