中文摘要 | alginate-chitosan-alginate (aca) microcapsule has been widely studied as a device for the immuno-isolation and transplantation of living cells. however, long-term survival of the microencapsulated cell grafts and thus their potential clinical applications have been hampered by the pericapsular fibrotic overgrowth induced by adsorbed protein. protein adsorption is a rather complex process and has been suggested to be influenced by several factors such as surface wettability, charge and morphology of materials. the effect of chemical compositions of biomaterial surface has already been studied experimentally and theoretically [1]. however, the effect of random surface roughness on protein adsorption is still not understood well. |
