英文摘要Here we reported a research concerning the visual processing of Chinese characters. We recorded 29-channel EEG from 24 normal subjects when they were performing three tasks: orthographic task, phonological task, and semantic task. We compared the ERPs of these tasks with a baseline: ERPs evoked by fixing a cross "+". The Statistic Parameter Mapping of t value indicated that: 1) all three tasks evoked similar spatiotemporal patterns; 2) there was pronounced left-hemispheric predominance during three tasks; and 3) during first 70 msec, activities evoked by semantic task were stronger and spreading wider than those evoked by orthographic and phonological task.
