中文摘要The element stiffness matrixes of a machine tool's parts are needed to analyze the static stiffness performance of the machine tool. The part structure is usually irregular and has to be simplified to obtain the element stiffness matrix. A complete simplification method was developed to simplify a spatial beam with variable cross sections into a beam with a constant cross section. A dynamic model was solved using the finite element analysis (FEA) software ABAQUS 6. 51 and was also calculated using the simplification method. Comparison shows that the relative deviations are less than 5%, which verifies the reliability of the developed method in solving the simplification problem of beams with variable cross sections.
