中文摘要Two methods, with V/sub u/ = const and V/sub u/r = const, respectively, were used to design the volute suction case with a bell-like inlet passage at a pumping station in the Eastern Route Project of the South-to-North Water Transfer Project. Based on the standard k- epsiv model, the Reynolds-average Navier-Stokes equation was solved using the SIMPLEC algorithm for internal flows through these two kinds of suction cases. Comparison between the two design methods indicates that the differences in the velocity fields and the velocity outlet uniformities are small, with the design with V/sub u/ = const being better in terms of the design complexity.
