中文摘要	本文首先介绍目前学界各种不同的英语名词短语和汉语名词短语的定义,然后对汉语和英语的名词短语的不同层次和结构进行语言学上的梳理和比较,并结合汉英互译的规律提出一种新的名词短语:汉英准等价名词短语.在此之上,分析汉语基本名词短语、准等价名词短语和最长名词短语之间的重叠关系,以及在汉英翻译中不同的规律。最后根据汉英准等价名词短语自动识别的实验结果,对在自动识别中的难点从语言学角度进行分析。; In this paper, a thorough summarization of the different definitions of English noun phrase and Chinese noun phrase was given. Then a comparison between different definitions was presented. After an examination of Chinese-English bilingual corpus, a new definition of Chinese noun phrase- Chinese-English Quasi-equivalent Noun Phrase was proposed. The relationships between base noun phrase, quasi-equivalent noun phrase and maximal noun phrase was also given. Some statistics of different translation rules between the three kinds of noun phrase was carried out.
