中文摘要 | Performances of a supply chain with one supplier and multiple retailers under three modes of upstream and downstream relationship: traditional, information sharing and vendor managed inventory (VMI) were compared and analyzed. Average costs of each mode were chosen as performances measurement. With respect to each mode, operational and analytical cost models were developed for supplier, retailer(s) and the whole supply chain respectively. Furthermore, numerical analysis were conducted for performances comparison for different modes. It was indicated that, for the retailer(s) and the whole supply chain, information sharing mode was better than traditional mode, and VMI mode performed better than information sharing mode; for the supplier, both modes of information sharing and VMI performed better than traditional mode. However, compared with information sharing, VMI might lead to higher costs to the supplier under certain circumstances. |
