中文摘要Serious welding spatter,bad formation,infirm self-adjustability of welding arc are the main disadvantages of CO/sub 2/ gas shield arc welding which limit its further application.This paper studied on the formation of spatter,the relation between characteristic of welding power and weld formation, and arc self adjustability.A new technology was invented which could reduce spatter markedly. For inverter machine,new methods were developed to improve the weld formation and the performance of arc starting and extinction. For SCR machine,new method was employed to improve self adjustability of the welding arc and to solve the problem of the wire melting back.
