中文摘要The purpose of this paper is to extend the asymptotic transfer function method to study the free transverse vibration of a cantilever beam with an edge notch. To overcome the difficulty in handling the abrupt geometrical changes of the notched beam, singularity functions is introduced and then the governing equation for the notched cantilever beam may be expressed in a continuous form. Laplace transformation is used to transform the time variable to obtain ordinary differential equation with complex parameter. Taking notch depth ratio as the small parameter and employing perturbation technique, the ordinary differential equation with variable coefficients are reduced to a group of ordinary differential equations with constant coefficients. Finally, converting these equations into the state-space from, the solution of boundary value problems can be obtained by the transfer function formulation. Comparison between the numerical results and the data calculated from finite element analysis indicates that the presented method has favorable accuracy. In addition, curvature mode shape and its application in damage identification are discussed.
