英文摘要Retinitis pigmentosa and age-related macular degeneration are two commen outer retinal diseases for which there are currently no cures.Progressive photoreceptor death ultimately leads to significant blindness[1-5].While the inner retinal is little affect by disease,as a result prosthetic retinal stimulation can still convey meaningful visual information to the brain. However little is known about the parameters that could permit reliable retinal stimulation with small electrodes.Stimulation pulse current amplitude is one of the most important one which affects safty and efficacy of prosthetic. For example,it’s difficult to produce effective nerve impulse when charge injected on retinal is too less, while it will cause damage to the organisation and electrodes when charge is too much[6, 7].In our study,we discovered the stimulus threshold on rat retina with multielectrode arrays (MEA2100 system,100/30 TiN). This results would provide theoretical basis for the optimization of stimulation parameters
