英文摘要 | Surface engineering is crucial for various micro/nano materials, processes and devices, and shows complicated coupling of physical, chemical and biological factors. This talk will show that by tailoring the surface topology, energy, bandgap and resistance, as well as the dynamic trigger by environment, micro/nano systems can exhibit some fantastic and enhanced performances for optical applications. We will introduce some recent work on this topic in three parts. First, a facile and effective wet etching method for ZnO thin film was developed using H2O2 solution, with excellent surface characteristics and enhanced photoluminescence. p-GaN/n-ZnO hybrid heterojunction was also fabricated for the high-performance zero-bias ultraviolet photodetector. Second, rewritable paper for display using water as the ink was reported by embedding nanoparticles into gelatin hydrogels, which was triggered by nanoparticles immigration cross the hydrogel interface. We further updating the technique by proposing and demonstrating the concept of “photonic crystal (PC) paper” using water as a colorful ink. Various colors have been achieved by adjusting the PC particle size or writing with aqueous solutions of different pH, leading to the bandgap tuning of well-aligned PCs. Finally, we will report our latest progress on the high-resolution artificial vision, based on the fabrication and surface modification of flexible micro electrode array (fMEA) for epi-retina implant. |
