英文摘要The cyclelife test of commercial 22650-type lithium iron phosphate/graphite batteries were performed at room and elevated temperatures in order to deduce the aging mechanisms for capacity fading. A number of non-destructive electrochemical techniques such as capacity recovery test with small current, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, differential-voltage and differential- capacity analysis, and destructive analysis of electrode are discussed in details. Compared with the cell cycled at 55oC, the lower 25oC reached its end of life faster, and a higher discharge current of 3C should be responsible for the power loss of cylinder batteries and difference of capacity fading between 25 and 55oC because a great of proportion of capacities can be regained through a small current. The lithium loss mechanism was considered to be the dominated reason for all degradation of batteries and persistent damage and regeneration of SEI layer was the leading cause of active lithium loss.
