英文摘要 | The Advanced Photon Source is a 7 GeV third-generation storage ring light source that has been in operation for more than 20 years. Thanks to advances in accelerator physics and technology, it is possible to upgrade the ring to increase x-ray brightness by more than two orders of magnitude. This presentation reviews several lattice options for the upgraded ring and gives a survey of some of the physics analysis. We'll also describe considerations related to switching to a low-frequency rf system. |
