英文摘要Beamline 3B1B is a VUV beamline in Beijing Synchrotron Radiation Laboratory, it was designed for studies on VUV fluorescence spectroscopy and VUV Circular Dichroism spectroscopy of biological macromolecular. Due to the very small acceptance and bad vacuum, the beamline didn't fulfill the experiments well in past years. A new VUV beamline was designed since 2001, the photon energy range is from 120nm to 350nm. 1 meter Seya-Namioka monochromator was selected for new 3B1B beamline because of the good performance and wide use in VUV ultraviolet beamline, the entrance slit and exit slit can be fixed when the different wavelength can be selected. In the paper, design and performance of the monochromator is introduced, also the calibration of the monochromator is presented.
